POA vs Guardianship

I think? You might be confused about what a POA is (Diablo 3 Gold). If there are any other posters following this thread, give us some Legal 101, pls. And clue ME in if I'M wrong.

My understanding is this – a POA is legal documentation, usually prepared by an attorney, that appoints a personally chosen person(s) to handle the HC and / or financial matters based on another's personal wishes. The court is not involved with POAs. It's strictly between the 'grantor' and the grantor's 'agent(s)'.

You say your sister had no financial authorization, but you also say she repeatedly took actions that one might take if they were authorized. That's more than a little odd. Is it possible she had this financial authorization way before the Guardianship was ever needed?

Who did you say was handling your father's financial business? If your sister has no authority over financials but has acted all along as if she has – then this is sounding mighty messy to me and if this has been going on for a long time I would also think that legal actions would have already been started by? The nursing home, the bank, any creditors (Diablo 3 Gold)? Anyone with financial dealings with your dad (her).

Whoa, I'm really understanding now what SteamH was talking about when she was caring for her father but didn't have any control of the finances. OMG, SteamH, I'm understanding in a whole new light…talk about a financial sacrifice. It cost me at least $10/hr to have someone come and sit with my dad while I went to work … or while I went …anywhere without him. We live pretty rural, it's a 35 minutes drive before I start 'seeing' storefronts and that's one way. Aside from the cost, I had to make sure I totally trusted this person with my dad's needs plus whatever personal things I had in my home (ours and my father's) that the person might want to peruse while I was gone. You already know all this, sorry.
