The square footage thing is not a great measure

I agree that calling it an "upgrade" is a stretch, but when you consider the potential expenses involved in keeping a house habitable in the face of things like weather, seismic activity, plumbing system issues, etc. there's no comparison...even a small foundation or plumbing repair can cost what a nice new RV does (Diablo 3 Gold), and all that outlay does is put you back to square one...and unlike buying an RV you have no choice but to do it.

Then there's ongoing costs- purchasing my little used RV that I lived in for five years cost me almost exactly the same money used as one years worth of property taxes on the house I currently live in.

seriously- what makes you think that the skills successful foundation and operation of an "intentional community" are any different from the skills needed for any other community to run smoothly?

And why on Earth do you think that being snarky and argumentative and snide and snotty at the drop of a hat is anywhere on the list of the kinds of qualities people would INTENTIONALLY want to associate with (Diablo 3 Gold)?

In other words, if you don't have the skills of basic logic and critical thinking needed to figure out answers to such basic questions as "what skills are needed for a community to operate" and "how do people develop skills", then you probably aren't going to be of any value to anyone.

And this is doubly true if you are an oversensitive asshole who gets all pissy and angry and lashes out over something as inconsequential as a post on an internet message board...seriously, if you would even *consider* taking the time to do shit like that instead of just letting it pass, you are most definitely NOT someone who will be able to function happily or last as a valued member of any kind of small community, "intentional" or not.
