Cases like this make me wonder why so many in the US are opposed to a Universal health care plan.

A person might save all their lives, be responsible (D3 Gold), have insurance etc then get sick through no fault of their own, and end up somehow uninsured, again, no fault of their own.

It's not Socialism - a person like that has paid taxes all their life, contributed to the community etc, deserves to get something back from their taxes.

"Just get insurance when they're sick and need it" - - I really think a lot of people do NOT understand what happens to those picked out by the fickle finger of fate. They lose their job, and with that their insurance. And then they are up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

Nopes, we're not hoping for it, just observing it happens to people ALL the time, yet somehow they think it never will.

Medical bankruptcies are a really ugly business. And what if it happens again in short order, hmm?
